Pradip Burhade is the Founder and CEO of Learidge - The Learning Bridge. BHARAT — Know Your Roots is his idea, born from a simple worry — that our children, and even we ourselves, are slowly losing touch with the stories, values and wisdom that made us who we are.
He has personally shaped every part of this initiative — its programs, its content, and its learning platform — so that any family, anywhere in the world, can rediscover Bharat in their own language, at their own pace.
He believes that the great wisdom of the epics, the scriptures, the temples and the scholars who have preserved it for centuries should reach every Indian household. His role, as he sees it, is simply to be a faithful bridge — connecting Indians to that great wisdom and carrying it to every family, in a form they can hold close.
Pradip brings over 45 years as an entrepreneur and engineer — having built companies in manufacturing, education and sustainability — but his deepest calling has always been the Bharat we have inherited: its Gods and Goddesses, its epics, its great kings, its temples, its arts and its festivals. He has made it his life's mission to carry this knowledge to every Indian, and to help each one come to know Bharat in its true form.
A Message from the Founder
I have always believed that real transformation comes from within, not from outside. No amount of external teaching can match what a person discovers for themselves. True knowledge is not told to us — it is awakened in us.
A few years ago, I noticed something happening quietly in our homes. Our elders still carried the stories of the Ramayan, the Mahabharat, our Gods and our great kings. But somewhere between busy lives and glowing screens, these stories were no longer reaching our children the way they once did.
My own ten-year-old grandchild can name hundreds of Pokémon, cartoon and game characters — yet he hardly knows the great souls from our own epics. And he is not alone.
A whole generation today knows Bharat only in name. They follow the rituals, wear the attire, cook the recipes, and do as they are told — but the deeper meaning behind it all is slowly being forgotten.
Their parents are not to blame. They are busy, and many never had the chance to truly understand these things themselves — so how can they pass them on?
I did not want the next generation to inherit only our names, and not our knowledge.
This is the need of the hour. If we do nothing, the great wisdom that once shaped the world will quietly be lost in our chase for material comfort.
That is why we built Learidge — The Learning Bridge, our edtech venture that helps bridge the gaps in knowledge and learning.
Using Learidge, we created BHARAT — Know Your Roots, A bridge between our ancestors, ourselves, and our children. Not as a lecture, and not as a thick book, but as a simple, joyful journey the whole family can take together — grandparents, parents and children — each in their own language, in their own space, at their own pace.
This is my humble offering to Bharat, and to every family that carries her in their heart.
